Charging time for your electric car depends on both the model and the charging point being used. With a home charger, it’s recommended to charge the battery overnight. Charging an electric car is considerably cheaper than the cost of driving a petrol or diesel vehicle. Whereas a combustion engine model costs approximately 12-14p per mile to operate, an electric car comes in at a significantly lower 3-4p per mile.
Electric vehicle batteries are designed to provide up to 100,000 miles of performance at the very least. Many manufacturers, however, anticipate covering more than 150,000 miles before a replacement is needed.
