The New Vauxhall Astra arrives with sharper, more distinctive styling drawn from the Vauxhall Experimental concept — and for the first time, you can choose it as a hatchback or as the Astra Sports Tourer estate, both available across the full powertrain range.

The New Astra makes an immediate impression. The signature Illuminated Vauxhall Vizor front grille, striking LED daytime running lights and LED tail lights give it a presence on the road that's unmistakably modern — and unmistakably Vauxhall.
All models feature tinted privacy rear windows, a dynamic black contrast roof (excluding Carbon Black), and your choice of metallic colours including Carbon Black, Athletic Blue, Contour White, Electric Yellow, Crystal Silver and Graphic Grey.
The Astra Sports Tourer brings everything you love about the hatch — same styling, same technology, same powertrains — with the added practicality of an estate body. A practical flex-load floor and roof rails (standard on Sports Tourer) make it an ideal choice for families and active lifestyles alike.
The New Astra is available with four powertrain options to suit every driver:
Petrol Automatic
A 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox. 130PS and 230Nm of torque deliver a refined, capable drive — with fuel economy of up to 48.7mpg (WLTP Combined High).
Hybrid
A 145PS 48V mild hybrid system with a six-speed e-DCT automatic transmission, combining petrol efficiency with seamless electric assistance for everyday driving.
Plug-In Hybrid
195PS of combined output via a four-cylinder engine and seven-speed automatic gearbox, with a low CO₂ figure and the ability to cover significant daily mileage on electric power alone.
Electric
The Astra Electric is powered by a 156PS motor with an 11kW on-board charger and up to 100kW DC rapid charging capability, enabling an 80% charge in around 32 minutes. A larger 58.3kWh battery delivers a range of up to 281 miles (WLTP preliminary) — 22 miles more than the previous generation.
The New Astra and Astra Sports Tourer are available to order now through Cawdor Vauxhall, with dealerships across West and South Wales in Newcastle Emlyn, Carmarthen, Llanelli and Aberystwyth.
